Delhi Government tightens leave policy for Mohalla Clinic doctors
The Government has ordered all doctors and staffs at Mohalla Clinics via an official notice that they need to inform the authorities (respective CDMO) about their leave three days before the actual day of leave.
New Delhi: In a stringent view to curb reports of absenteeism by doctors working in Aam Admi Mohalla Clinic (AAMC), the Health Department has recently issued directions which require medical practitioners to furnish prior information of leave and also submit a leave report of other paramedical staffs at their AAMC.
Dr Shalley Kamra, State Nodal Officer of AAMC Cell has written to all Chief District Medical Officers (CDMO) in this regard.
The direction came after it was observed that many doctors took unnecessary leaves and also without any information to the authorities. While the gap is filled by a doctor from the dispensary but with the increase in the number of doctors taking leave, services are largely affected, especially in highly populated areas.
