Over 100 patients registered for free medical camp in Bishnah village of Jammu
Jammu: More than 100 patients have been registered for different ailments on the opening day of the week-long free medical camp being organised by Shri Onkar Singh Memorial Trust in village Naugran of tehsil Bishnah here on city outskirts.
The camp is organised every year by the trust providing free of cost medical treatment to ailing and needy patients in rural areas.
A 35-member team comprising 12 to 13 specialised doctors including a gynaecologist from Delhi, headed by Dr K S Charak are camping in village Naugran from Sunday.
“On the first day, we have registered around 125 patients including those, who have to undergo surgeries,” Dr Charak said.

He added, “seven cases surgeries including of gall bladder stone, kidney stone and a case of gynaecology will be treated during the camp besides other surgeries.”
The camp will conclude on November 9.
The surgical and medical camp is proving boon for the poor people of the adjoining villages also who cannot afford money for surgical treatment of their various problems.
